A Fendi Dressing Room of Your Own

Fendi Dressing RoomIn a previous blog, I covered 2017 interior design trends in Santa Barbara, so when I saw the sumptuous “traveling” dressing room by Italian architect and designer Cristina Celestino for luxury fashion house Fendi, I had to bring it to my readers. The look could very well be a summary of some of the coming year’s best design trends.
The Milan-based Celestino works as an architect, creative director, and designer through Attico, a studio that she founded in 2010. Known for whimsical works, such as petticoat lamps and glass chairs and vanities, Celestino made her large-scale debut with this new collection.
First presented at Design Miami last month, “The Happy Room” is an interior space comprising 12 pieces of furniture and lighting and is meant to be a VIP room of sorts for the brand’s clientele. Featuring velvet seating in burnt orange and blue-green and trimmed in fox fur, brass-accented mirrors, vanities, and screens, inlaid-marble tables with bases that resemble the backs of earrings, and lamps with shades wrapped in perforated leather. Everything in The Fendi Dressing room is designed to create clean silhouettes. The collection hints at a particular school of Italian glamour featuring hues of blue and dusty pink, and materials like onyx, wood, and a new one developed by Fendi combining resin and fur.
Not sure Italian Glam is for you? Take the Spirit Décor quiz to find out what dream interior best represents the very essence of you. The quiz was designed to help you sort through the clutter to divine how to live your best life—or at least, the best sofa to sit on while you ponder that question.
The pieces will be sold in select Fendi stores. Take a look at this article in Curbed.com then let your interior designer know which Fendi items speak to you. If you want to consider decorating other rooms with Fendi, be sure to check out FendiLife.com and follow the playful adventures of the design house’s pink-and-blue duo as they visit destinations across the globe – from London to Tokyo to L.A.
