Located at 631 Parra Grande Lane and resting on 10 private acres, the timeless estate has been restored with an eye for detail. Offering numerous reflecting pools, lush gardens, and storied provenance, this 4-bedroom, 4-bath estate is a true piece of art history.
The magnificent 10,000-square-foot estate was built in 1906, and was originally called the James Waldron Gillespie Estate or Gillespie Palace after its original owner. Featuring Roman, Persian, Arabic and Spanish-styled architecture, the property has appeared in numerous hand-colored Santa Barbara picture post cards during the 1900s–1950s that highlighted Montecito’s estates, as well as the classical Persian gardens and Goodhue’s unique architecture.
El Fureidis is also famous for its rare palm trees also found in Disneyland’s Adventureland and Jungle Cruise ride. It was the location for Tony Montana’s Coral Gables mansion in the 1983 film Scarface.
The El Fureidis estate was last on the market in 2006 for $37,500,000.
