Jeff Bridges Sells His Montecito Estate

Montecito EstateSanta Barbara resident Jeff Bridges, sold his Italian-inspired 19.5-acre Montecito estate recently. The well-known actor first listed the incredible property two years ago after purchasing it in 1994. The original price was $30 million. A  lucky buyer got it for $16 million, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The Mediterranean-style 9,535-square-foot main house was built in 1988. There are many unique spaces inside, like a meditation room, a “fort” where Bridges sometimes threw pottery, and a detached theater/recording studio. There are 6 bedrooms, 6.5 baths.
The estate also hosts a pool and 2 guest houses. The rest of the expansive property consists of fruit orchards, hiking trails, a stream, and vineyards. Though Bridges owned the home for almost 20 years, he is not its only celebrity owner. Grammy-winning musician Kenny Loggins once lived there as well. It remains to be seen if the next tenant is a well-known name.
Don’t be upset that you missed this opportunity. I have some equally amazing listings in the area right now, including:

The primary residence on the compound is stunning, with impeccably designed and landscaped Italian gardens, and a charming vintage guest cottage. The showcase home offers superior craftsmanship and custom features, including bronze hardware, custom wrought iron and beautiful cabinetry and woodwork. High, groin-vaulted and open beam ceilings combine with windows and French doors throughout the home to bestow a romantic interplay of light, shadow, and texture. The spacious 2-bedroom, 2-bath San Ysidro Ranch-style turn-of-the-20th century guest cottage has been completely remodeled and updated.
