Purchasing something I love for my home instantly puts me in a great mood. It’ll work for you too. That gorgeous vintage door you’ve been eyeing online? Buy it. Change out your curtains to something colorful and cheery. It’ll change the look of the whole room. Go ahead and buy that rug you’ve been ogling. Adding items in your home that make you happy will eventually result in a space you love.
3) Make happy memories at home
Have you actually entertained in your home recently? If not, it’s time to plan a dinner party with your family and friends. There’s no need to do something super fancy. All you really need for a successful party is great friends, lively conversation and good food! Create a menu of food you love, choose music you love, and decorate in your personal style to create a festive atmosphere.
4) Make sure your home is protected
Reviewing your home insurance policy doesn’t sound very exciting, but making sure there aren’t any obvious gaps in your coverage is crucial. You should also make sure you aren’t overly insured. You want to read your policy carefully and confirm that you are paying for the right amount of coverage. Keep in mind, standard coverage doesn’t always include flood or earthquake damage. If you want to make changes, work with your existing insurance company or shop around for a new carrier.
