Whose Live Anyway? Offers Comic Post Election Relief in Santa Barbara

Post Election Relief We may all be in need of a little comic post election relief here in Santa Barbara and luckily, Emmy-nominated TV show Whose Live Anyway?  has us covered, thanks to the wonderful UCSB Arts & Lectures organization. The hilarious improvised comedy is bringing its rip-roaring games, Whose Line favorite actors, and comedians to the Granada Theatre on Wednesday, November 9th.
“More than wit, sense of humor or speed of thought (all amply present), these improvisers’ most conspicuous talent is that they’re game… happy to throw themselves into any daft challenge put their way… the laughs flow.” The Guardian (U.K.)
In an evening fans won’t want to miss, the show promises hilarious improvised comedy and song to the stage, with adrenaline-fueled games and off-the-cuff wit. Whose Live favorites Ryan Stiles and Greg Proops, recurring player Jeff B. Davis and actor and comedian Joel Murray will leave you laughing for days from their surprising on-the-spot riffs. Audience participation is key, so bring your suggestions and you might be asked to join the cast on stage!
More Santa Barbara Events Reflections on Worlds Above and Below
If this isn’t up your alley, there are several other Arts & Lectures events happening in the month of November. On November 14, NASA astronaut Captain Scott Kelly will share lessons from his historic mission in space in The Sky Is Not the Limit: Lessons from a Year in Space. Back by popular demand, check out the latest from National Geographic Live when one of the world’s leading underwater photographers, Brian Skerry shares his intimate portraits of sea life – sharks, whales, turtles and ocean habitat – revealing beauty and mystery in the depths of the big blue. Brian Skerry Ocean Wild: The Light Beneath the Seas takes place on November 20 in Campbell Hall.
A Wonderful Venue for Performances, Films, Lectures and More
Founded in 1959, UCSB Arts & Lectures is the largest and most influential arts and lectures organization between Los Angeles and San Francisco. Arts & Lectures annually presents more than a hundred events, from critically acclaimed concerts and dance performances by world-renowned artists, to talks by groundbreaking authors, and numerous film series at UCSB and Santa Barbara-area venues. With a mission to “educate, entertain and inspire,” A&L also oversees an outreach program that brings visiting artists and speakers into local classrooms and other venues for master classes, open rehearsals, discussions and more, serving K-12 students, college students and the general public.
Whose Live Anyway is a great way for those of us who live in Santa Barbara to get some post election relief, and the Granada Theater is just one of the amazing venues residents and visitors enjoy here year-round.
