Have You Experienced The Santa Barbara Public Market Yet?

Road sign that says Santa Barbaara to show the Santa Barbara Public marketThe Santa Barbara Public Market, an urban marketplace, is home to a diverse collective of merchants all under one roof. The multi-vendor market opened two years ago at 38 W. Victoria St, offering locally and regionally sourced food and wine. Have you checked it out yet? You should.

The Public Market continues to be well loved by locals and visitors alike. It’s a place to meet and gather at any time of the day, a place to feed any cravings, the perfect spot for coffee or breakfast, lunch or dinner.

The unique market is LEED certified, short for “Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design,” one of the most popular green building certification programs used worldwide. Who knew a market could be so green and offer a truly unique experience to dine, drink, gather and host special events?

I can’t wait for the well-liked “Locals Nights” to come back this summer. Every Monday night, Market-goers are invited to enjoy weekly specials, games, prizes and pop-up dinners in The Kitchen featuring a variety of local chefs and restaurants.

I love that guests 21 and older can take their wine and beer with them throughout the common areas of the market. That’s especially important for the new beer garden featuring an innovative tap system with both craft micro and macro-brews from around the world and the US. The beer garden area will include big screen televisions for sporting events from around the world, and a comfortable environment that will welcome any crowd, from beer enthusiasts to the downtown business community to families looking to enjoy a casual meal together. A crowd-pleasing menu will be offered, featuring small plates that are perfect for sharing with friends, in addition to favorites like Burgers, Fish Tacos, Fish & Chips and more.

Get ready for the best tacos, ceviche, and more at Corazon Cocina, with Chef Ramon Velazquez! The pop up’s new location in The Public Market will be Chef Ramon’s first permanent restaurant. Corazon Cocina has developed a devoted following around town, and now he’s here to stay. That means we get to enjoy Chef Ramon Velazquez’s mouthwateringly inventive Mexican cuisine every day of the week! Another local pop-up, Honey B has opened serving Waffle Sammies, their famous cinnies, rainbow bagels and more. Even my own company, Sotheby’s International Realty, is opening an office there.

If you live here, just sign up for the Public Market’s mailing list to stay up to date on all the exciting changes as well as events and special promotions. If you don’t live here but are considering moving to Montecito, Hope Ranch or any of Santa Barbara’s upscale communities, please call me at 805.886.9378 or email me at Cristal@montecito-estate.com. We can meet at the Santa Barbara Public Market to discuss what’s on the market!
