The Montaña Magica Treehouse; A Magical Vacation Destination

Treehouse

This spot in the Chilean Patagonian Rainforest Should Be on Your Bucket List!

Introducing the “Magic Mountain” Treehouse in the Chilean Patagonian Rainforest. Those of us lucky enough to call Santa Barbara home are very selective when it comes to leaving our slice of paradise, but when I heard about The Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve, I knew it was one of those places that had to be added to our bucket list.
Imagine waking up to the landscape of the rainforest in a cozy nature-immersed room. You’ll feel as if it you are inside an unknown kingdom at the Huilo Huilo Nothofagus Hotel & Spa.
Nothofagus is a magnificent building constructed with local materials, where sensations, shapes, textures and sounds bring visitors back to the simplicity of nature. The hotel is the true heart of the Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve’s architectural complex: part of a unique ecosystem in the Patagonian Rainforest, a region which is still relatively unexplored. The area’s engagement in scientific research and conservation is internationally recognized.
Few places on earth are so ecologically intact. Each of the lodgings on the reserve mimic and mirror an aspect of nature while artfully merging fantasy with rainforest conservation.
Take the Nawelpi Lodge (‘Puma Spirit’ in Mapudungun), for instance. Located in the middle of the forest, the lodge is not far from the main building and offers visitors exclusive and luxurious bungalows situated by the Fuy River in beautiful surroundings. The Nawelpi Lodge is the place to relax and connect with nature.
The property offers many exclusive experiences, including treks led by locals. Immerse yourself in the unspoiled wilderness of the temperate rain forest. The Huilo-Huilo Reserve has multiple trails of varying difficulties, allowing you to discover the Patagonian Forest, crystal rivers and lakes, flora and fauna, and volcanic formations at your own pace.
You’ll find one of the longest and highest zip lines in South America at the Huilo-Huilo Canopy tour. Guests of all ages are invited to “fly” over the treetops in this spectacular setting, amidst the ancient forests of the Andean mountain range. Adventurers and nature enthusiasts might want to add an adventure to the Montaña Magica Treehouse to their bucket list too!
